We give back to the community by sponsoring Team Japanese Motorsports, a BMX racing league for children and their parents. Team Japanese Motorsports was founded in 2002 when John decided his kids needed a hobby they could spend time together doing. Since John spent a good portion of the late '70s and early '80s competing in BMX competition races, he decided to see if his children Jerry and Sarah might enjoy BMX. Like father like son and daughter, they loved it from the beginning. Soon Jerry and Sarah's friends started coming over to ride, and before you could count to ten, John and his wife Athena founded Team Japanese Motorsports. The team has grown from a few children and their parents, to over 25 youngsters and parents ranging in ages three to forty-two! Team Japanese Motorsports is not only about competition BMX racing, but also providing parents and children a great opportunity to have fun and enjoy life by spending quality time together. Team Japanese Motorsports meets on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. For more detailed information on times and location, please visit Capitol City BMX at http://capcitybmx.tripod.com/ .
